Was brilliant to see Violet Cannon, Violet M P Cannon, be awarded her honorary degree. Both Violet and her presenter, Caroline Hunter, spoke so powerfully about Violet's experiences as a Romany Gypsy and her work with York Travellers Trust. Exactly what Honorary degrees are for.

This was definitely the case with York Law School this week, with Violet M P Cannon. Brilliant speech, and wonderful speaker.
