The 2024 Agronomy, Crop, and Soil Science Societies #ASCMtg opened on a meaningful note, acknowledging the Indigenous people of South Texas with a traditional dance by the American Indians in Texas at the Spanish Colonial Missions (a nonprofit based in San Antonio). A powerful way to kick off the meeting!

Spending my sabbatical at JIRCAS in Japan collaborating with Dr. Subbarao. His guidance has been instrumental in shaping our work on #BNI in #sorghum. We're now exploring the potential of BNI in #maize, #wheat, and #covercrops for developing #climatesmart varieties. TAMU Department of Soil and Crop Sciences

A lot of familiar faces are missing from X... I miss the #Twitter days. Now my feed is flooded with junk news. Did everyone migrate to #Bluesky? Or is it #Linkedin now?

FarmerDan I hesitate to post this, VERY PRELIMINARY DATA, only 2 site-years. This is 80 ac sampled on 1 ac grid to 24" in 0-6 and 0-24. The Colby and Perryton lines are virtually the same. To pull 5 cores for profile N on this 80 would have potential error of +/- 36lb/ac. Food for thought
