#Dumfries Community Officers were at the Nith Inshore Rescue open day at Glencaple today. We spoke to lots of people & caught up with our colleagues from Moffat MRT Scottish Ambulance SFRS Dumfries & Galloway. We also watched Nith Inshore Rescue launch their boat & carry out a simulated rescue.

Callout: At 23:56 on Saturday 31st August Police Scotland Police asked for the assistance of Moffat MRT and Nith Inshore Rescue to aid in the Search and Rescue of a missing person in the Ruthwell area. The person was found and handed over to a Scottish Ambulance crew for further assessment.

❌❌📟 Callout at 0421 ❌❌ from Belfast Coastguard to assist Kirkcudbright Coastguard, Annan Coastguard, Police Scotland Dumfries & Galloway and Stewart Bryden All crew back at station for 0630.
❌❌Callout at 0046❌❌ from Belfast Coastguard along with Stewart Bryden Police Scotland Dumfries & Galloway SFRS Dumfries & Galloway Scottish Ambulance Annan Coastguard
❌❌Callout at 1330 ❌❌ from Belfast Coastguard. Crews were deployed on training and attended the scene where 1 person and a dog were rescued. Annan Coastguard were also in attendance. Our friends in Silloth RNLI were stood down en route.
