I did the math: a full battery of coronavirus testing costs at minimum $1,331. I also did the legal research: the Administration has the authority to make testing free for every American TODAY. I secured a commitment from a high-level Trump official that they’d actually do it.

For those wondering - and because I hate jargon - a “presumptive positive” test means the test has come back positive for #COVIDー19, but it’s pending confirmation by the CDC.

The Administration isn’t acting with the urgency this issue deserves. So, I’m leading over 80 of my colleagues in calling on U.S. FDA and HHS to issue guidance allowing academic medical centers to support the rest of the medical community in preventing the spread of #Covid_19.

It’s ok if you don’t know the right words to say esp. as a non-Black person. This is our moment to listen & do what is asked of us. If we do contribute to the conversation, let’s be mindful that we add to the background chorus of solidarity & not overshadow the leading actors.
