Today, Beatrice Eyong chaired the 12th ProfSAW TV Annual Lecture in Lagos, where she reiterated the socio-economic need to prioritise equal opportunity and women's empowerment, and the critical role of the media in advancing the gender agenda.
"Violence against women and girls consequently takes away several women's productive hours. If 30% of Nigerian women have experienced GBV then over millions of women in Nigeria are not adequately contributing to the Nigerian economy", Beatrice Eyong
