El Errante Ali شرق‌زده sharghzadeh These structures (domed Muqarnas and Honeycomb Muqarnas) is an Islamicate synthesis.
There’s no strong case academically for its synthesis in one cultural region within the islamicate. Early examples are found from Spain and North Africa, Egypt & Persia all around the same period
