1. Westminster Cathedral Choir School is making drastic changes, ending weekend boarding and reducing the number of services at which boys will sing. See below. Sounds sensible but there’s another side to the story...

2. Read this, by a parent of a chorister. What stands out is the threat to the cathedral’s musical heritage, which depends heavily on highly trained boy sopranos. A drop in standards would ruin its worldwide reputation.

Concerned to hear news that WestminsterCathedral are undergoing drastic changes which could spell disaster for the music - currently some of the finest in the country. Retweets to follow:
