Who could have guessed that a state mandated insulation scheme would be a total failure? Scrapping the scheme will cut energy bills.

The same Phillips Curve delusion that caught out the Reserve Bank of Oz also pulled the UK’s pants down. While Nigel Farage MP kept telling people “inflation is a disease of money”.

The Dutch are about to realize that “cheap renewable energy” isn’t cheap at all. The more unreliable solar and wind governments force onto their electricity grids, the higher electricity prices in those countries are.

Japan is in a debt crisis. When the BoJ allows yields to rise, the Yen stabilizes but rising yields make the debt burden unaffordable. When the BoJ caps yields, the Yen weakens, threatening another devaluation spiral like in 2022-2024. No good options... robinjbrooks.substack.com/p/japans-debt-…

An important chart from The Washington Post on energy costs – generation has become cheaper, but the cost of delivering energy to consumers across the grid has more than doubled.

One more point here: - IEA's 9% global gas demand growth forecast for 2025-2030 includes a 9% DECLINE in Europe. - S&P Global is projecting a 6% INCREASE in Europe to 38 bcf/d, that grows to 10% (39.5 bcf/d) if (when) climate laws are rolled back. So IEA #s may be too low.
