We have a friend coming to stay for a month tomorrow in our little guest house. I’m just sitting on what will be her terrace with a coffee. Been cleaning all morning. Don’t often sit here and look at the view. Am appreciating it. (You get a free dog if you stay here😄)

Mustafa-he came to us 7 years ago when we moved here, crying to be let in during days of pouring rain. We let him in. He never left. Spent winters in front of the woodburner. Our constant companion. A little frail now- but still loves to join us in the hot evenings on the roof🥰

Our lovely Greek neighbour, whom Ruby adores, and who has been here for the summer, shut up her house this evening and drove off to take the ferry back to Athens. Ruby has already gone into depression

As a matter of interest can anyone say what is considered a reasonable hourly rate for a plumber to charge in England/UK? Also if a plumber worked an 8 hr day what would be a reasonable daily rate?
