Former Chicago White Sox All-Star pitcher and 2005 World Series Champion Bobby Jenks passed away yesterday, July 4, in Sintra, Portugal, where he had been battling adenocarcinoma, a form of stomach cancer. He was 44 years old.

Rip Big Bobby Jenks! So sad to hear this news, unreal. Your presence and confidence was unmatched in that 2005 Clubhouse. You were a young player that competed at the highest level. Unfazed by the Big moments. God Bless your family! 🙏🏾#GoneToSoon

Bobby Jenks was on the mound when the 2005 World Series ended. He won a lot of battles that year and the Sox won it all. Sadly Bobby lost his last battle but he’ll always be in the hearts and minds of his teammates and Sox fans. He was a big man who was impervious to pressure RIP
