Watching a good timelapse of a pyrocumulus over a fire gives great insights to the physics behind t-storms, specifically with respect to the anvil & mammatus. 🤓

Nearly 5,000 outages in Placer County, presumably due to lightning, especially in the Lincoln to Rocklin area. Other outages reported in surrounding counties as well.

Just got back from a drive around the Carmichael area viewing the storm damage from this morning. Scattered tree damage appears to be in a 2-2.5 mile radius, generally facing north. The downed fence faces the NW direction. Based on these observations along with my own radar
