Los Angeles Unified Student Mental Health & Wellness Branch has activated Regional Crisis Response Teams to support our school communities impacted by the wildfires. We’re here for you.
Our unaffected Los Angeles Unified will reopen tomorrow. All schools in evac zones remain closed, and we are monitoring Roscomare/Community campuses closely, final decisions will be made soon regarding those schools.
“Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” From our meal distributions to the Los Angeles Unified employees working 24/7 to prepare temporary sites for our damaged schools, I am immensely grateful to everyone finding ways to help our school communities in crisis.

One week after two of our schools were damaged in the Palisades Fire, I welcomed families to their new, temporary sites on nearby campuses. I'm so grateful to everyone who made it possible for Marquez Charter Elementary School palidolphins to stay together and begin to heal from this trauma.🙏
