Remember that #fireball on Feb 22, 2021 over #yeg and surroundings? You might have picked it up on your doorbell cam! It came from the Oort Cloud! We spotted it on our Fireballs in the Sky cams and helped Denis Vida with getting those data.

Here is your #marssamplereturn scorecard. Samples collected thus far by NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover (thanks to Mapperwocky(@[email protected] and Mastodon)). Green boxes around the samples we are starting to put down in the first sample depot. Depot spot is near the “RV” in “Observation Mountain”.

How exciting is this! Tomorrow the crew for the #Artemis II mission will be selected! This will bring us one step closer to #Artemis III when humans will return to the surface of the Moon - and when they return they'll have lots of new samples for us to look at 😀 #ToTheMoon
