The most recent event, the Swollen Elbow Repair, is considered energized. To earn the top spot, journeymen teams must replace an oil-soaked swollen elbow by removing the tip from the elbow, replacing the elbow body and installing a new tip.

In the Single Phase Conductor Tie In with Armor Rods Event, apprentices needed to remove a #2 ACSR wire from a roller, install an armor rod, and tie them onto the insulators with preform ties. The competitor who is the fastest and the safest takes home the title. 🏆

Let's get it! Apprentice Ryan Kornegay just competed in the Alley Arm Insulator Change Out Event, where he had 10 minutes to change out a center phase pin-insulator and neutral spool.

Journeyman teams had 16 minutes to compete in the 12KV 900 Amp Switch Change Out event, in which they replaced one of the 900 amp under-slung switches on an 8-foot crossarm on a 40-foot pole. ⚡️ #FLPublicPower #LineLife
