3 years ago today was the opening of @newpathsmusic summer 2021, surely the most emotionally intense festival we’ve done. It was only about 6 weeks after live performance was allowed to restart, after the long lockdown, so everything felt heightened - for performers & audience.

The photos show masks, spaces between chairs. We felt responsibility to keep people safe. But they also show the utter joy we felt at being able to do what we do - make music, share it, connect. There were many tears that week as live music enabled us to begin to feel again.
