New Life Old West Incidentally, my Sunday sighting of the first Orange Tip of the year in Cottenham...was apparently first Cambs&Essex report, but may well have been the first report nationally ;-)

In celebration of the extension of the NLOW project, funded by The National Lottery The National Lottery Heritage Fund, join us 6-8pm on the 18th March at Over Community & Conference Centre to look back at the achievements of the project so far, and what to look forward to in the coming months.

On Saturday we visited Willow Grange Farm to record bryophytes with the Cambridgeshire Bryophyte Group. 47 species were recorded across the farmyard, tracks, stubble field, ditches & orchard.

Last week we enjoyed a couple of bird ID walks with local wildlife guide David Chandler at RSPB Fen Drayton Lakes.

We saw 30+ species including bullfinch, treecreeper, black tailed godwit, goldeneye, gadwall and teal 🦆🌞
