is progressing well. The lifts shafts are being lifted into place, the western station building roof is extending along the platforms, new points were installed at Shepreth Branch Jct over the May bank holiday, along with work on the overhead electrification.

Fabulous images of progress being made for the western building for as the roof is installed section by section. Really starting to look like a new station now. Soon we'll start to see the eastern building steelwork being installed.

A fallen tree has blocked all lines between Ipswich and Stowmarket. Engineers are on site assessing the damage and will be removing the tree to clear the line as soon as possible. Disruption is expected until further notice. Please check Greater Anglia for more updates.

We’re sorry for the disruption caused to services across many parts of the network on Monday 15 April. Strong winds blew trees down in several different locations, in some cases causing extensive damage. Repairs have been carried out overnight but some disruption continues today
