When someone is described as non-binary, everyone’s first thought is are they man nb or woman nb.

Likewise if someone is described as “queer” are they “gay queer” or “heterosexual queer”

If a woman is being chided for saying a man is a man, that is evidence enough that it remains necessary to say that a man is a man.
