NetNeutrality Heather Welford mentalext Sloga Genspect I have not claimed it did. I am stating the fact that single sex spaces allow them to spot dodgy males and only dodgy males break the social rules about not going into female spaces.

Andy Heather Welford mentalext Sloga Genspect No, I mean what if a male pretend to be trans? With your setup, they would have a built-in 'excuse' for being in the women's bathroom.

NetNeutrality Andy Heather Welford Sloga Genspect our 'setup' is how things have always been. This hasn't been a problem. do you not think that changing norms so that men aren't out of place in the womens gives this hypothetical man an even bigger excuse?! what you want is the ultimate excuse!

mentalext Andy Heather Welford Sloga Genspect Trans women have been using the women's bathrooms for decades in that setup too, and yet even though that's 'how things have always been' suddenly it's an issue for you?

NetNeutrality Andy Heather Welford Sloga Genspect It’s suddenly an issue because of the people that they want us to accept in the restrooms now. it’s not the people that go to the effort to pass, It’s for anybody that just wants to declare that they are women. No change to appearance necessary, that’s what self Id is.

mentalext Andy Heather Welford Sloga Genspect No. Self ID has *always* been the way people use the bathrooms. It's never been illegal, and there have never been any checks on it.

NetNeutrality mentalext Andy Sloga Genspect Service providers offering single sex facilities do so lawfully & can prevent opp sex users. But of course in day to day life we rely on social norms & decent men using their own facilities. Btw, do think beyond toilets 🙄

Heather Welford mentalext Andy Sloga Genspect They can do. But they don't have to. There's no requirement to have segregated bathrooms.

And bathrooms is what we're talking about here.
