I think wave 2 is already happening Richard Brady (researchactive.bsky.social) ! Currently under the radar as patients avoid healthcare but this could change rapidly. Are we geared up correctly for this? I fear the balance is wrong!
Stuart McKechnie I agree -we’re already starting out on the curve -simple becoming complex, localised becoming fulminant, subacute evolving to complete, inflamed becoming abscesses, ulcerated becoming perforated, acute becoming chronic. Patients may not be presenting but pathology marches on.
