We're excited that Nature Reviews Genetics is now publishing a new article type called 'Tools of the Trade' in which early career researchers - graduate students, postdocs or new PIs - can discuss their new method, tool or technique #NRGToT #ToolsoftheTrade 🧰🛠️
#ToolsoftheTrade articles showcase a novel experimental, computational or statistical method/tool/resource, discuss its importance and the information we can learn from its results. Any method discussed must have previously been published in at least one peer reviewed paper.
#ToolsoftheTrade articles can be up to 700 words and are part of our Research Highlights section. We ask that these articles be written in an accessible way that isn’t too technical.
Through #ToolsoftheTrade articles, we hope to enable more early career researchers (ECRs) to interact with the editorial team and have a bigger voice in our content. Moreover, writing these articles allows ECRs to practice communicating their research to a broad genetics audience
