Tomorrow, Faye O’Hara will compete in the British indoor Carriage driving champs as the only wheelchair user in the field. She’s learnt to love life again after a devastating car accident - with a little help from a friend.

Exclusive : no coach will ever be allowed to weigh a gymnast again and no U12s will be allowed to miss school for training. It’s the first time the governing body British Gymnastics has ever made safeguarding policies around these issues. But can they be policed? More soon.

Luis Diaz has dedicated today’s goal to the freedom of his father and those kidnapped in Colombia. “My mother, my brothers and I are desperate, anxious and have no words to describe what we are feeling. This suffering will only end when we have him home with us.”

While Luis Diaz is on the bench at Luton, friends and family of his father Mane have gathered in Barrancas, in Colombia, to pray for his release. He was kidnapped last Saturday by the guerilla group the ELN.
