What is the expectation of passenger rail in #Alberta between #Calgary and #Edmonton? An ultimate time table would see a frequency of one train/hour or more during peak periods, but that would require extensive infrastructure enhancements and construction costs in the billions.

This basic time table was developed to gauge an idea of the infrastructure required to start services, and what the construction and operating costs are likely to be. All stations will be built as passing points, to eliminate and prevent conflicts with CPKC freight movements.

Not every station need be built at the very start, nor every train service be operational. The last train can always be later to take fans home after an Oilers/Elks and/or Flames/Stampeders game, or home after a night on the town.
