SEC delays several decisions today on spot xrp & doge ETFs, along w/ staking in eth ETFs… Nothing to see here IMO. Still think all will be approved. Though I will say it sounds like IRS clarity needed on eth staking in grantor trust. Legit issue (but not SEC’s jurisdiction).

iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT) is down about 45% from its Aug 2020 high… Meanwhile, it’s taken in nearly *$50bil* in new $$$ over this period. Investors simply can’t resist that duration for some reason. Why I call it the ETF widowmaker.

If you’re involved in tradfi in any capacity (financial advisor, portfolio manager, whatever)… And you haven’t spent any time learning about crypto. You have an *enormous* blind spot IMO. It’s not going away (as much as some in tradfi would like). Should be obvious by now.

iShares Bitcoin ETF now w/ inflows 28 of past 29 trading days... Nearly $8.5bil in new $$$. $10.7bil inflows this year, which is top 5 out of 4,200+ ETFs. IBIT also now over $70bil in total assets. Top 25 out of all ETFs. Just ridiculous numbers in 16 months since launch.

One year ago… SEC “surprise” approval of spot eth ETFs. Stand by my original take that SEC had *no* choice after grayscale lawsuit defeat. Hope we get full story someday. Wild how much regulatory environment has shifted since then. But still no other spot crypto ETFs (yet).

Price of bitcoin on day spot ETFs launched… $46k. Price of bitcoin today… $109k. I was told ETFs launching marked the top.

Only reason Schwab hasn’t launched spot btc ETF yet is because they plan on disintermediating this entire space IMO… Schwab is going to provide direct access to spot btc at rock bottom prices & you’ll be able to own it right next to your other tradfi investments. It’s coming.

Great stat via Eleanor Terrett… SEC Crypto Task Force has already surpassed *100* meetings w/ industry stakeholders. Task Force just launched at end of January. Imagine if there had been this level of positive engagement over past several years.
