I fixed the second paragraph: "Mike Bloomberg, who has no training in medicine or health, has long been the world’s foremost peddler of junk science and the crackpot conspiracy theories that flow from it." #PotsAndKettles bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…

"Current flavour bans have been largely ineffective in modifying use behaviour and may have unintended consequences such as increasing smoking prevalence and promoting illicit trade" <- File under "things that tobacco controllers deliberately ignore." cureus.com/articles/38289…

"One path saves lives. The other costs them." A thread on why the WHO FCTC's #COP11 policy to exclude the voices of nicotine users is an exercise in dictatorship of which they should be thoroughly ashamed.

What they won't tell you is that there is no evidence whatsoever of harm to an individual by this "exposure" outdoors. They also know that vaping will inevitably be included in any future 'smokefree' laws, and don't care. Smoking bans have never had anything to do with health.

The last quarter of a century in half a sentence from Christopher Snowdon "... reforming the state is difficult whereas passing legislation to restrict the freedom of the people is easy. There is nothing more to it than that." <- Yep, that sums the nannying up. thecritic.co.uk/prohibiting-pi…

"The challenge is that politicians must first admit that current policy settings are not working." Fat chance of that in #ClownCountry Australia. Good article from Dr James Martin and Professor David Bright. theconversation.com/if-recreationa…

"The government took products used by 2.6 million adults as alternatives to smoking and just banned them, with little more than wishful thinking that it would work well. What did they think would happen?” Clive Bates at Filter | harm reduction journalism filtermag.org/disposable-vap…

I've written at The Daily Pouch about a first-hand account of #wctc2025 which reveals muddled thinking, blatant bias, and a fair bit of hypocrisy on display from some attendees. daily-pouch.com/world-tobacco-…

I've written at InsideSources on why proposals to ban the online sales of nicotine pouches in some US states are misguided and pose a serious threat to public health and personal freedom. dcjournal.com/banning-online…

"Waging a war on vaping is absurd nonsense", truth bombs from Dr Mark Tyndall have been widely reported in Slovakia. parlamentnelisty.sk/spravy/630787/…

"The policy takeaway is clear: To reduce the spread of illicit products and improve public health outcomes, the U.S. FDA should authorize a broader range of regulated, appealing alternatives." Layal Bou Harfouch at Reason Foundation reason.org/commentary/evi…

"Regulative measures in Denmark have displaced rather than disrupted or eliminated single use vape markets. For consumers, this adds a new layer of risk to the purchase of these nicotine products" <- More tobacco control industry 'success'! 🤦‍♂️sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

I've written at TheBlaze on how the WHO FCTC has now insulted the US by arrogantly questioning the U.S. FDA's independence simply because its conclusions don’t align with the WHO’s ideological agenda on reduced risk nicotine products. theblaze.com/columns/opinio…

"The conclusion that vaping acts as a ‘gateway’ is an overspeculation, especially when the paper notes that at a population level, smoking rates have generally fallen as vaping has risen." <- Non-hysterical analysis of the over-hyped study that UK media is salivating over today.

“Scientific evidence is clear that [vaping] is not equivalent to the harms of combustible cigarettes. By insisting otherwise, the [S. African health] department is spreading propaganda rather than facts”<- Just another day of tobacco control industry lies. sundayworld.co.za/politics/vapin…

A nice thread here explaining why what you may have read today in most of the media about vaping is just lazy and ignorant journalism.
