TREND RCT shows significantly lower rates of early neurological deterioration but no difference at 90 d outcomes. Sample size too small or END not predictive of outcomes? The effect size if present is likely small so large RCT would be needed #ISC24 AHA Science
Rakesh Patel presents at #ISC24 promising data followup data from SPAN: originally 6 promising neuroprotective interventions, now narrowed to uric acid supplementation. Uric acid improved survival and functional outcome at 30 days in animal models. I am sure more is to come!
