The exhibition is being hosted by Uganda Martyrs University at Lubaga Campu; running from Sept 16 to Oct 31, 2024; featuring significant relics - crosses made from the trees where Noa Mawaggali, Matia Mulumba, and Charles Lwanga were tied, the jawbone and of Matia Mulumba, and Kalori Lwanga.
At the launch, the VC Prof. Patrick Kyamanywa announced that Uganda Martyrs University will host the grand canonization celebration on Oc 18, 2024, at the university’s Nkozi campus. He highlighted that both the founding of UMU and the canonization of the Martyrs are considered divine milestones.
He also announced Uganda Martyrs University intention to establish a living library dedicated to faith and religion in Ug and to position the university as a central hub for scholarly work on the Uganda Martyrs. Who else would be more informed about the Martyrs than their university? He asked
