I’m saddened to announce the passing of another beloved member of our NYPD family, Traffic Enforcement Agent Jason Lewis, who died yesterday of complications from #COVID19. The prayers & sympathy of the entire NYPD are with Jason’s loved ones & friends during this painful time.

Dear friends, With heavy heart and sadness, I inform you that we lost a member of the BAPA family. NYPD Traffic Section Commander Mohammed Chowdhury passed away this evening in Queens. Our deepest condolence and sympathy go out to his family.

Saddened to report that in the past 24 hours, #COVID19 has claimed 2 more members of our NYPD family: Principal Admin. Assoc. Josephine Hill & Assoc. Traffic Enforcement Agent Mohammad Ahsan. As we send our prayers & deepest sympathies to their loved ones, we vow to #NeverForget.

Tomorrow at 7pm, our special I ❤NY, NYPD and FDNY planes are joining NYC’s #ClapBecauseWeCare with a flyover salute for our hometown healthcare heroes and first responders. So, keep your eyes up, and keep a healthy distance from others while watching.

7/25/2020 : Deputy Sheriffs while conducting enforcement operations on Ditmars Ave, Queens arrested 1 person for criminal impersonation of a city inspector & criminal possession of a forged instrument (Forged DOT Parking Placard), subject also wanted by NYPD 114th Precinct for Larceny

Yesterday along with NYPD 73rd Precinct we mourned the loss of Police Officer Richard M. Catapano, who was tragically taken from us. #RestInPeace We got it from here #NYPD

I would like to give a shout out to the 48 Precinct Detective Squad and Bronx Violent Felony Squad for apprehending Ismailia Mangara. Ismailia was wanted for assaulting two on-duty Traffic Agents on August 26th. The #GreatestDetectivesintheWorld bringing people to justice!

Nothing gets passed Officer Lee’s attention to detail 👀🧐 Through her NYPD training & sharp observation skills she quickly indicated a forged illegal plate on a parked car —towing it away & addressing the community’s quality of life concerns. Great work 👍

Today We Remember, Traffic Agent Larry Siegelbaum. At the intersection of West 82nd St & Amsterdam Av at 11:40 A.M. Siegelbaum, 53, died of head injuries when a taxi struck his three-wheel scooter. #EOW 10/20/1998

We see reprehensible behavior on our roads every day. Watch from 4 camera angles as our #HELP operator is intentionally hit while directing traffic at a crash scene. He was there to ensure safety for motorists. Ensure his safety by slowing down, paying attention & being patient.
