Today we have a marginal risk for severe weather. As the week goes on, we're focusing on the impacts from Hurricane Erin via Rip Currents, Beach Erosion, High Surf, and Coastal Flooding. See our Weather Story (weather.gov/phi/weathersto…) for the latest information.

A few storms (one or two severe) will continue into the evening hours before diminishing/moving offshore. A cold front will pass through the region overnight, bringing northeasterly winds and widespread clouds. Monday will be much cooler than recent days. #NJwx #PAwx #DEwx #MDwx

Its going to be a bit cooler than normal this week but our eyes will be turned towards the DE Beaches and the Shore this week. Even though Hurricane Erin is forecast to stay well offshore Coastal Flooding, High Surf, Dangerous Rip Currents, and beach erosion are all expected.

Dangerous conditions along the Jersey Shore and Delaware Beaches this week as ocean conditions worsen. This is due to prolonged onshore winds, building seas and also increasing swell energy from distant Hurricane Erin. Stay safe as the ocean water is very powerful. #njwx #dewx
