A cold front will drop down into the eastern U.S. and bring high temperatures down into the 60s and 70s as the smell of pumpkin spice fills the air. Meanwhile, many places in the West will see high temperatures well above average in the 90s as summer hangs on.

An additional 2-4 inches of rainfall, with isolated higher amounts, is likely along the northern Gulf Coast through the end of the week. This is likely to lead to flash and urban flooding concerns along the I-10 corridor. #TurnAroundDontDrown
