I would also say, Newcastle has a chance to prove their status, as well. We’re not going to get pushed around, by a player or a club. #NUFC are going to do what’s best for their long-term ambitions. You want to bully a club, it won’t be us.

I can at least appreciate an agent “doing his job” by trying to get his player to a certain club with a bigger payday. What I can’t fucking stand is a colossal prick like Fabrizio Romano who is simply a mouthpiece for the agent’s agenda. No journalism. No investigating. Rubbish

Does anyone believe that Newcastle and Adidas would have made Alex Isak central to its incredibly expensive kit launch ad if the club had any idea he wanted to leave? What were these "broken promises" people speak so confidently about?

#NUFC issue a word-perfect, measured & fairly gracious response to Isak’s petition to divorce. “This is a proud club with proud traditions and we strive to retain our family feel. Alex remains part of our family and will be welcomed back when he is ready to rejoin his teammates.”

Surely, if Alexander Isak is so desperate to move on from Newcastle, a formal written transfer request should have been put in by his representatives?

Nope. That’s not how this works. Newcastle have qualified for CL 2 times in 3 years, and won a trophy. The rules say, “great job! Now sell your homegrown academy talent, as well as your best player, to rival clubs.” The rules are shit. That’s the problem.

This one’s even better referencing the bid itself. No one is under any illusion they’re a bigger club, and that he wants to go - but ultimatley we set out a price and the club that apparantly love him as of yet won’t meet it. Glad to see everyone sees their entitlement. #NUFC
