Trump’s speech didn’t sound like a list of accomplishments. It sounded like an obituary for the country working people built and a celebration for the billionaires who want to strip it for parts. But the final chapter hasn’t been written and working people still hold the pen.

Imagine seeing a doctor without checking your bank account. Childcare that doesn’t swallow half of your paycheck. Paid leave when life happens. We’re told it’s “too expensive” but there’s always endless money for ICE and wars without end. The problem isn’t cost. It’s priorities.

Our democracy doesn't work when big money owns our politics. And Americans are fed up with a corrupt elite few buying influence + rigging all the rules. That's why I introduced legislation to abolish super PACs. It's time to put power back where it belongs: with the people.

Working people are the majority in America. We keep this country running. We are teachers and nurses, cooks and drivers, factory workers and caregivers. When we unite across race, geography, and every line meant to divide us, there is nothing corporate power can do to stop us.

If you voted for Trump because you were angry about corruption, you weren’t wrong to be mad. The system is rigged. But rigging it for himself + his billionaire friends was never the solution. Working people deserve a party that fights corporate power. Not one that answers to it.
