Remember its been an incredibly wet winter and spring so far. Just because it's dry today doesn't mean the ground has dried. It'll be weeks! Suitable footwear out on the trails!

Another week, another batch of windblows to work though in the now unstable crops. Ploughmans Loop should be reopened Friday & roll on some dryer periods of weather we can get stuck into the trail rebuilds following Forest Service works!

Spring is in the air & the moisture is in the ground!
If you're hitting the trail network its a bit damp out there. Soild footwear or wellies are a must on the trails & you'll have a great time soaking up the spring sights & sounds.

A sligh longer vlog this week on the importance of post storm analysis and what causes of tree failures.
This information continually goes into our tree safety managment knowledge which informs how we manage risk and care for the Trees.

Sometimes I forget how much work has gone into stabilising and protecting the remaining population on the peninsula. We're in a really good place now with less than a handful of Grey incursions in 2023 and can focus on the longterm habitat conditions

While the digger here is here, peeling back the ivy carpet in paces will help stimulate natural regeneration of herbaceous plants & new trees...

I swear, within a year of installing new farm infrastructure, something lands on it every time! 😅
But a small price to pay for retaining excellent habitats.

Two parter.
