Dyrham Park's Whitefield meadow was once a ploughed field of monoculture crop, now restored to a diverse wildflower meadow. Orchids have recently flowered and now Birdsfoot Trefoil, Knapweed, Lady’s Bedstraw and even rarer Cranesbill flowers are out in bloom. #NationalMeadowsDay

Fawns are being spotted around the parkland. Just a reminder to keep plenty of distance while they're young. It’s normal for fawns to be left unattended in the grass and essential not to disturb them as any human scent around a fawn could encourage the mother to abandon it. 🦌🦌

Have you noticed much fruit on trees in your area this year? 2025 looks like a good year for fruit and, thanks to a warm spring, our trees have produced a bumper crop of 'Goldcot' apricots. This batch was from a tree growing against a wall in a sheltered courtyard. 📷 Mark C

Gardener Mark got some brilliant pictures of the parterre and garden as he worked up high on the hedges using the Mobile Elevating Work Platform or MEWP. 📷 Mark C
