This morning Year 5 have been editing and improving a piece of instruction writing from year 2. We were looking closely at the Year 5 objectives for this genre of writing and adding these features where possible ✏️ #npsenglish

This afternoon we took our art lesson out into the sunshine. We have been inspired by the artist Ewa Rosa this week by creating seascapes and landscapes using patterns with watercolour paints 🖌 #npsart

ANGLO-SAXON GODS! Year 5 have loved our Topic of Anglo Saxons this half term. To finish the topic off the children created a double page spread identifying and describing their Gods and religious beliefs. ✨#npshistory

This morning in English year created a new species of insect found on planet Pandora. We thought about how to upscale adjectives to describe the different features.

We love rounding off the day with our visitors from Miss Ellis Year 2! The was a great variety of books bought into the classroom that the children loved sharing together! 📚

✨What would Jesus do?✨ Today we started our new RE topic by looking at the parable of the Wise and Foolish Builders. As a class we discussed the importance of building our lives on strong foundations. #npsre

During our topic lesson yesterday, we looked into the journey of the River Severn from its source to the sea! The children watched a video to gather important facts and put these into their own writing ✏️💧#npsgeography

This afternoon, with Active Peace, we have been thinking about how we feel when we get angry but also what helps us to feel calm. #npspshe

WOW! I have been completely blown away by the amazing non-chronological reports written by Year 5 today! The children have worked so hard on this English unit and it looks like the hard work has definitely paid off! ✨ #npsenglish

During our English lesson the morning the children were inspired by an illustration from our book focus The Promise. Working in pairs they have created a poem using onomatopoeia, personification and emotive language. #npsenglish

We’ve been exploring rhythm and tempo in music this afternoon using some of our fabulous percussion instruments. #npsmusic

This afternoon in Science, year have have been investigating which material makes the best insulator. With all the ☀️ lately, it is really important that we find which material keeps the water coolest! 💧 🌡 #npsscience

We love Active Peace on a Thursday afternoon! Today we have been thinking about Turtles, ask your child what being a turtle means! It was great to have Chacha join in the activities with us! 🌎 🐢 #npspshe

On your marks. Get set. GO! Even though 🌧 stopped lay on Tuesday, KS2 still managed to fit in some fantastic races!
