Bobcats are common, but elusive in Nova Scotia. Named for their short tail, bobcats are larger than the average domestic cat and usually have grey-tan fur with white underneath and some black stripes on their inner legs and tail.

We've had our own problems getting black ash the protection it deserves, with core habitat being unidentified for so long and now still undesignated, so it's disheartening to see another province also dealing with government failure. We must safeguard these rare species.

Did you know that 1 home kills an average of 5 birds per year? Although commercial structures see a higher number of birds striking at one time, residential homes actually make up a majority of the overall bird-loss!

Carbon taxes have already been proven to work in nations that adopted them before Canada, and the revenue often supports nature based climate solutions programs like those groups like ours administer. Glad to hear some positive feedback ❤️
