On Wednesday, ourselves and NOTMRT were called out to help search for Graham. Very sadly, a body was found on Friday. Our thoughts are with Graham’s family and friends at this difficult time.

Fantastic joint training with NEAS HART recently We watched a rescue demo using a reach pole & grab hook, then showcased a snatch rescue & vertical raise over a difficult edge. Sessions like this strengthen inter-operability & the teamwork we rely on at real incidents.

Great joint water rescue training on the River Tyne near Ovingham with HM Coastguard, Tynemouth VLB & our sister team North of Tyne SRT We shared kit knowledge & ran scenarios including a foot-trapped casualty & overturned kayakers. Teamwork like this keeps us sharp when it counts.
