Priority 3: Help build more homes for local people. Too many residents who have lived and worked in North Norfolk struggle to get on the housing ladder. With nearly 3,000 people on the waiting list for social housing, we need a clear plan to reduce the backlog.

Priority 4 We will fight to retain our precious local services. Our MP, Duncan Baker, has already done brilliant work on this front. Fighting for Holt to keep its Barclays banking facility, and for Sheringham, Trunch and Wells to keep their postal services.

Priority 5: North Norfolk has the oldest demographic of any local authority in England. We will help our older residents to combat loneliness by working with local volunteers and good neighbour groups to develop self-help organisations in our towns and parishes.

🇬🇧 Beautiful commemorations around the country to mark D-Day. I spent my evening in Stalham for their event. Enormous community effort, full parade, military vehicles and fish and chip supper. A very special event.

13 hour day working flat out in the constituency. Hundreds of doors knocked and a great response throughout. ❤️ Then on to Walcott to support the fabulous Black Dog Music Project. They run music groups to help those with mental health issues to gain confidence through music.

My 4th priority is to deliver more affordable homes for local people. Outside of London we have the highest number of 2nd homes in the country. The additional revenue from the 2nd homes council tax levy will be used to build more affordable homes to rent and to buy.
