Folks have been asking for the HB- limited supply, limited time. The paperback is doing great but still a lot of interest in the hardback. Message if you want to grab one of these while they are available-signed and shipped to the gift address of your choice.

2 John 1:12–Though I have much to write to you, I would rather not use paper and ink. Instead I hope to come to you and talk face to face, so that our joy may be complete. There is no substitute for face-to-face communication.

You will hear so many people say "conference championships don't matter" and that they are "meaningless moving forward" if you get penalized for losing them Reminder: in 2023 the 12-0 Georgia Bulldogs, back-to-back defending national champions, lost by 3 and went from #1, to #6

Jon Gruden’s playoff plan is the only one that makes sense. It keeps conference championships in tact and makes them count l, but it doesn’t allow other playoff teams to sit at home resting- they have to play a play-in game also. Who can make his plan a reality.

A healthy community, says one writer, “is a thick system of relationships.” Good word. I would add that a faithful local church is the at the center of the “thick system” along with families that are healthy.

Coaches and players have to finish a season before they are allowed to discuss taking another coaching job or entering the portal. And neither players or coaches can opt out of a games. Can we at least do this?

I don’t read a lot of poetry but the poem that I think most about is The Pasture. The “you come too” gets me in the gut. What is your poem?

Can college football be saved? Can we blow up the transfer portal, NIL, coaches interviewing before the season ends, colleges giving their programs over to outside interests? And more. Is it too far gone?

Calling for a Twitter cease fire this week. Even Union and Confederate soldiers took a break on Christmas Day. Come on boys and girls- stop calling one another names this week.
