A new £1.6m trial we’re funding with Medical Research Council is investigating whether the drug mifepristone is more effective at treating #ectopicpregnancy than current medical treatments. The trial led by Andrea MF Woolner (she / her) University of Aberdeen could reduce the need for surgery for 100s of women
Funded by CSO(Health)Scotland, led by NHS Lothian, The University of Edinburgh with sites in NHS Tayside, NHS Lanarkshire and NHS Ayrshire & Arran, the study found that cold symptoms lasted for an average of six days after using salt water nasal drops, compared to eight days after using typical cold medicine.
