Staff said the biggest barriers they face in using tech well are lack of IT support, lack of implementation funding, & poor-quality connectivity/equipment. Action is needed to tackle these barriers.

Our survey found that electronic health records & tools for inter-professional communication (inc videoconferencing & digital messaging tools) ranked highest.
To explore this, we collaborated with professional bodies to gain a snapshot of perspectives across 8 shortage occupations. We worked with Royal College of Anaesthetists; RCGP; FICMNews; The RCN; RoyalCollegeObsGyn; Chartered Society of Physiotherapy; Royal College of Psychiatrists & The Royal College of Radiologists to run a UK-wide survey & conduct expert interviews.
