Senior colleagues from East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust have broken out from the meeting and are discussing the exercise. The first question they are asking “is this a mayor incident for us” and “do we need to implement special arrangements”. #Exercise

The exercise has attracted the attention of central Government, who have requested a briefing. The group are now preparing this.

While our exercise is taking place, using the latest technology our assessor Assistant Chief Fire Officer @robporters is remotely monitoring. All actions and briefings are being carefully scrutinised using a behavioural marking scheme. Candidate feedback planned for later today.

We had a great day with our regional friends! It’s been a few years since we were all able to get together m. Massive thanks to Batch and John for hosting, professional as always.

We are midway through our Officer development and update training! Some fantastic discussions around tactics, roles and command. After lunch we are moving on to some tricky exercises, designed to push, develop and challenge them.
