Early start to go on BBC Breakfast to talk about the latest eruption near Grindavik Iceland. Key points will be great job Icelandic scientists do in tracking the precursors,relatively favourable location of eruption and it slowing down after a strong start.

The leading edge of a lava flow destroys a road on 8 February 2024 near the town of Grindavík, Iceland. Fracturing and tectonic stress can drive ultrarapid flow into dikes, as in the event that preceded Iceland’s recent eruptive episodes.
