Last week @Ofgem revealed that energy bills will rise by £149 a year. Our figures show that this will put an extra 400,000 households into fuel poverty, with 6 million UK households forced to choose between falling into debt or going cold throughout winter.

By winter, there will be 6 million UK households living in #FuelPoverty and debt owed to suppliers is already at record levels. Get involved in our #FuelPovertyAwarenessDay on 27 November by emailing [email protected].

The Energy Crisis began in October 2021. Ofgem's price cap rising in October means more households will be in fuel poverty. Our figures show that 1.5 million more UK households will be struggling to afford the cost of heating their home than three years ago.

Last Friday @Ofgem announced the price cap for October to December 2024. Our figures show that an additional 400,000 households will fall into #FuelPoverty as the weather gets colder.

This week is #PensionCreditWeekOfAction. Pension credit is a vital benefit for low-income pensioners. This year will be even more crucial with #EnergyBills rising again in October. If you get pension credit, you'll will receive the #WinterFuelPayment.
