Amazing to watch a #euro2024 game in person. Low scoring but what a treat! France is moving on though they continue to have trouble scoring. A single goal sufficed today.

What a week in Europe! ⁦@EURO2024⁩, which we watched in a stadium, at pubs, in hotels. Fans of all teams were of good cheer everywhere. And then there were 3 major elections (b/w France & the UK). While I missed ⁦St. John's College⁩, good to get some perspective.

The fear of crime differs dramatically between Europe & the US. Property crime, like pickpocketing & bicycle theft, has long been much higher in some European countries than in the US.

Who needs a computer at breakfast (or any other meal) when you could linger over a book? ⁦St. John's College⁩
