This pump organ (circa 1915) featured in our exhibit, Furniture: Crafting a North Carolina Legacy, was made by the Shipman Organ Company of Highpoint.

The Shipman Organ Company was the only organ manufacturer in the South at the time and could build up to 700 organs a month.
