JOSHUA JUBILATIONS! Cheptegei rewrites history as he becomes two-time Olympic Games champion, setting yet another record while at it! It is Team Uganda's first medal of the Paris 2024 Olympics
Defending champion Peruth Chemutai has sounded out a warning to all pretenders to her throne, by comfortably strolling through to the final of the women's 3000m steeplechase ahead of the chasing pack in her heat at the Paris 2024 Olympics today. The final is scheduled for Tuesday.
TWO GOOD: Team Uganda's Leonard Chemutai and Tarsis Orogot were in superb form on the track earlier today, and both stay strong in medal contention in their disciplines at the Paris 2024 Olympics
SECOND MEDAL! Peruth Chemutai has won Team Uganda's second medal of the Paris 2024 Olympics. She did not manage to defend her 3000m steeplechase crown, but was still impressive in coming second, joining men's 10000m golden boy Joshua Cheptegei as a two-time Olympic medallist.
Team Uganda's Tarsis Orogot has come short of reaching the 200m final at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Orogot could not quite match his feat of the first round, and therefore bows out of his first ever Olympic Games. He will surely be back.
Three days and four events left for Team Uganda to add to their medal tally at the Paris 2024 Olympics
