Yesterday, the NJ Senate Budget Committee voted to dramatically increase fentanyl penalties.

Legislators know better — person after person testified to warn that S-3325 will fuel overdose deaths & racial injustice.

Their vote was irresponsible & against all public health data.

Though NJ was known as the “slave state of the North,” too many believe it never happened here. 

Slavery shaped every aspect of NJ.
