Due to resurfacing at night, the I-95 North Rest Area near Exit 142 (north of Rocky Mount) will be closed most nights starting Sept. 2 for two to three weeks. The closures may vary due to weather. An NCDOT contractor is resurfacing I-95 and this rest area's ramps.

Good news! All of the additional lanes for widening I-95 between MM 53 and Exit 58 (Fayetteville) are now open in both directions. But expect some lane closures, mostly overnight, for final striping and rumble strips to be installed through November.
