About 20% of my A&G is spurious liver antibodies. In talks of intelligent/reflexive testing in primary care, I haven't seen moves to test less. How many cases of AIH would we really miss if ALT <100-->BMI >25&/or >14 units per week->USS & lifestyle advice and no further testing?

Back on wards reminds me what a phenomenal job our residents, nurses, AHCs, admin, housekeeping, porter & all other staff (in other depts) do to keep the liver unit running. No easy time of year but extra amazing when added “winter pressures”. Humbled to work with you all.

I think terms 'tsunami' 'epidemic' should be banned from X and presentations by non public health experts who have a professional vested interest in hyping the prevalence of their personal clinical specialty. Anyone else noticed the 'tidal wave' of these terms??
